Can I sneak in a Q about money in Italy?

My husband retired last year, so I THINK we're supposed to being doing some traveling, which we aren't. My son, however, is going on a cruise to Italy in the fall. I want to give him a bon voyage gift of some sort. Which is "friendliest" in Italy. . .euros, a prepaid Visa/MasterCard, or something else?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Your post is titled about "Spain", but you are asking about Italy - just thought I'd mention that :goodvibes:thumbsup2

My brother just came back home from Italy yesterday. While Visa/MAstercard are widely accepted, he recommended that euros would be better.

HTH. :thumbsup2

 I was in bed last night and realized that my title had Spain, and I was trying to figure out how I made the switch, and also hoping that when I checked this morning I'd see that I really typed Italy and just thought I wrote Spain. Whoops.

My son is going to ITALY! :) Thanks for the reply.

I tried to edit my original question, but couldn't change the title.

Sounds like euros are the way to go.

Once the edit box opens up there is a "go advanced" option at the bottom - this is where you get the chance to change the title.

I'm glad you've sorted out your dilemma with the euros.

THANKS!

As you can see, I followed your instructions and was able to edit the title. :)

Sorry, I think I was just being too fussy haha :)
