Can I Send Our Luggage on Magic Express but Rent A Car For Us (Not ride the bus)?

I will be arriving at Disney in a week and the Magic Express is included in our package deal. I will be renting a car but since I am on my own with 3 kids (DH is arriving a few days later due to work commitments), and we have received our Magic Express luggage tags, would it be possible for me to let Disney collect my luggage and deliver it to the resort (CBR) and I just worry about herding the kids to get the rental car? Just wondering if anyone has ever done this (sending their luggage with ME but not ride the bus)

Regardless of where this thread is, the relevant discussion is in the sticky thread. Yes people have done this. Yes they got their bags. I personally would do it. Others would not, seeing the possibility of a bag going astray and not being able to show they were on the bus as being an opportunity for Disney and the airline to point fingers and do nothing. I've noticed they point fingers anyeay, but bags that are just delayed get found and delivered anyway. It's all about your personal concerns and stressors. So read through the thread from the end towards the beginning (to get recent experience first) and see how YOU feel.
