We are taking a 7 night cruise ion DCL in July. I would like to spend a few days at WDW after the cruise We stayed at Dixie Landings a few years ago when it was its own resort in the Alligator Bayou section and loved it.

Now that DxL is part of Port Orleans, can we request to stay in the Bayou section???? If so, what would our cahances be of getting it?

Thanks, Karen

The Former Dixie Landings and The Former Port Orleans are still 2 seperate resorts. Dixie Landings is now "Port Orleans Riverside" and the former Port Orleans is now "Port Orleans French Quarter". They carry the same name and amenites but are still set up as two seperate entities. When booking your reservation make sure you are at the "Riverside" and then you can request Alligator Bayou just as before :) Your chances of getting it would be just the same as they ever were based on avalaiblity... most people request the Magnolia Bend (the Mansions) so your should not have a problem getting the Bayou (which by the way is also my favorite :) )

Hi Karen!! :wave2:

Looks like we're thinking of doing the same thing; spending a couple of days at WDW after the cruise! I wish we were going the same week, though.

I'm pretty sure you can request Alligator Bayou at Port Orleans Riverside. Definitely request it in advance, then ask again when you check in and hopefully they'll fulfill your request. I know a lot of people like the mansions, so hopefully you won't have a problem getting into the AB section. :)

We're still trying to decide which resort to stay at following the cruise. The only moderate I've stayed at so far is Caribbean Beach which we loved, but we're thinking of trying someplace new this time. My DS15 stayed at the old "Dixie Landings" a few years ago following a Disney cruise and he said it was really nice. From the pictures I've seen, it's a beautifully themed resort. I think Disney does a great job on all of their resorts.
