Can I Rent A Car Through The Swan?

I normally don't rent a car and depend on Disney transportation, however, this upcoming trip we are thinking of renting a car just for the weekend to visit friends and do some sightseeing. We will be staying at the Swan and I wanted to know if I could make arrangements through them to a rent or car or will they do it for me. If not, I would love all of your help on how I should go about renting a car and how I would pick it up because I will not need the car right away and would be needing in halfway into our trip.

There's a National/Alamo desk at the Dolphin. I recommend making the car rental reservation ahead of time and picking up the car at the Dolphin when needed.

That's great! I've never stayed at the Dolphin and I didn't realize they had a desk right there. So I can pick up and drop off right there at the Dolphin? Have you ever used them?

Yes, you can pick-up and drop-off right there! I've rented a car from the airport and dropped it off at the Dolphin (and also the reverse) several times, and will be doing so again two weeks from now. Definitely reserve ahead of time, as I've seen the "no cars available" sign on the counter several times when I've gone to the Dolphin to pick up my rental car.

Thanks so much for your help! I wasn't sure of the dates yet when I would need the car but maybe I better plan since you mentioned there have been times you've seen the sign saying they didn't have any cars. Do you get any discounts with them or know of any?
