Can I Really Keep My Mouth Shut For The Next 6 Months? Update 6/4 Link to TR

Can you start to pack now? Slowly start taking pairs of socks and under things and what ever else leaving it in a laundry basket in your room making it look like you just haven't put all the laundry away...? and maybe since your driving instead of using suitcases use laundry baskets or plastic bins... do you have a garage? maybe put that stuff into the garage ? or if you go the plastic bin route (as long as they are not see thru) you can pretend that its stuff to go to grammys house and you need to put it in her car but really put it in your car?

I love Mary Poppins... Have fun with that!

I'm actually surprise that I haven't started packing yet, lol. At this point in my trip planning I've usually started! I do have all of the new clothes that I've gotten for the little kids put in my closet, I should just put them in the smaller suitcase that I use for them and stick the suitcase back up in the closet. Right now between clothes for Disney, things for the goodie bags and Easter stuff my closet is absolutely overflowing so I should start getting that stuff put away. I do like the platic bing idea, I'll soon start buying snacks and things so I'm going to need to hide those too.

Can you show us any of the kids surprises?
I'm so ready to start shopping for everything, but we have a ways to go before I need to pick up snacks. It's so hard to wait when it's about Disney!

Here's a couple links to some of the things I've gotten so far. I have been picking up more thing here and there. When I have no kiddos around I'll get some pics of them up!

Epcot.jpg

Sadly this will be our last day in the parks:sad: We are ending our trip with a second day in Epcot. Since our first day in Epcot we focused on Future World, this day we will focus on the World Showcase. Which means we don't have to necessarily be at RD but let's be honest here, the crazy person that I am will not be able to let everyone sleep in and take an easy morning. As much as I like the idea of sleeping in, I know we'll want to spend as much time in the park on our last day. Since WS doesn't open until 11am we'll ride some rides in FW first, redo Soarin' and Test Track for sure, hit up the Character Spot if we hadn't on Sunday.

We'll then make our way over to WS, we usually start in Canada and work our way around. So many people are afraid that there won't be much for their children to do in Epcot but I gotta say my kids absolutely love it and they love the WS. The past trip we skipped the passports but I think we'll do them again this trip. I am pondering the idea of making their own books rather than buying them from the parks again, I've gotten some stuff downloaded from the creative boards I just have to get the time and motivation. The kids also enjoy doing the masks, I read that they were doing Duffy's for a while, not sure if they still are doing this but I think that would be fun, something different at least. Speaking of Duffy I hope we get a chance to see him, being the character hound that I am I'll be on the lookout and make him a priority, I have a feeling that he will be a hit with Emily and Ben who are big fans of build a bears and stuffed animals in general. The one character that we MUST see is Marie. We have never seen her and Emily has recently became a huge fan of the Aristocats. She choose a Marie stuffed animal a couple of months ago at the Disney Store and has carried that thing with her everywhere she goes ever since. So we will be on the lookout for her in France for sure.

Also in France I am looking forward to my Grand Mariner slushee and maybe some crepes. For lunch we usually just snack our way around the countries, stopping to eat whenever something looks good. DH and DS15 love the fish and chips at Yorkshhire County Fish Shop so I am sure they will be getting their fix there. ADR's for the day are at Teppan Edo at 6pm. I just know the kids are going to love this, we haven't been here since 2002 so before the little ones were born. The only show I really want to hit this year will be American Adventure, I've seen the other films when I was younger and I know that my kids will not sit through them so I think we'll be skipping them again. We won't be staying for Illuminations this time since we plan on watching it on our first day.

We will be heading home early the next morning so after dinner we'll head back to the resort so DH can take the kids for one last swim while I sadly pack our things up. The plan is to leave for home around 6:30am. My MIL, DN and Christian flight doesn't leave until 11:55am so they will get to sleep in a bit before heading to the airport on the ME. Hoping for an easy and uneventful drive home, we should make it home by 9pm or so.

Basic Plan for the Day

9am - 11am - Future World for rides and possibly Character Spot
11am - Make our way through WS
6pm - Teppan Edo ADR's

Goals for the Day

Meet Marie
Have a Grand Mariner slushee in France and a maragrita in Mexico
Snack our way around the world

We've been lucky enough to see Marie twice the past two years - once in France, and once near the start of the park (near the fountain). So check that character spot early in the AM before you get to WSC in case she's there. :thumbsup2

EDIT: I mean - we see her twice each visit the past two years. We see her first near the fountain before we go into WSC, then we see her a bit later at France. So check near the fountain early in the AM. Perhaps you'll not only get to meet her once, but twice in the same day!

Looks like a good plan for day 2 at Epcot.
We are not planning on spending a whole day here, and I am so sad.
We are planning on Teppan Edo too, can't wait to hear how you like it this time.

Thanksfor the info about the fountain, we'll definately look for her there on both days were in Epcot!

Thanks! Teppan Edo is alot of fun, Emily is the only one of my younger guys who has ever been to a Japanese Steakhouse so the boys are in for a surprise! Bummer about Epcot for you guys, we've found that it's just impossible for us to see it all in one day there, that's why we've seperated the park up into 2 days the past couple of trips.

You should try a plum wine slushie in China... they are a little sweet but really good I had one for the first time in March and definitely having one on my trip in October... I love the grand mariner slushies in france

I was thinking of Epcot today too! Have you tried the Kim Possible Missions? I am thinking about having the kids to that for the couple of afternoons we do world showcase! I also am planning on adding a couple of pages for a passport to our autograph book and have the kids get autographs for CM at each country, the passport stamp and maybe record a couple of facts they learn about the country. I have 1 afternoon planned were we too are going to eat (and drink for dh and I) around the world. My assistant prinicpal and I had so much fun last summer doing this...

I was so excited last summer to run into Marie...Aristocats was one of my daughters FAVORITE movies when she was little! I had to stop and take a picture and text her right then...I think she was more excited then me to see her! In fact...she dropped her phone in the toliet...:rotfl: We saw her probably mid afternoon in France.

I was also thinking of doing Tepan Eddo...it is my second choice if we can't get into LeCellier for the processional at Christmas. I am planning Beindergarten for the day we do not eat around the world...being dh is German I know that he will get a kick out of this...

This I gotta try! Not to be a threadjacker, but thanks for the info! :worship:

:wave2: Hi!! I have finally sat down and caught up with your PTR! Your plans look great and I am loving your theme nights!!!! :thumbsup2

Yum, plum wine slushie, sounds right up my alley, lol. I am totally writing that down on my list of things to do in Epcot! My DH and I are by no means big drinkers, like once a month or so we may have a couple of drinks. But something about being in Epcot and all of the good food and drinks:love:

I totally forgot about the Kim Possible Missions. I do want to try them out and I think my DN and Christian would love to help out the little guys!

So I am going to be so mad if we do not see Marie this year, it seems that everyone but myself has seen her! I'm going to have to stalk that girl, lol.

If your DH likes German food than he will love Beirgarten. My grandfather was German and my grandparents took me to Oktoberfeasts every year and Beirgarten reminded me so much of those. I actually made an ADR for there in case my BIL and SIL come with us, it's such a fun place!

:wave2: Hi!! I have finally sat down and caught up with your PTR! Your plans look great and I am loving your theme nights!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! I am working my way through yours:goodvibes It's hard to get computer time in my house, even with 2 laptops and a desktop so I only get to read TR's at night usually once everyone is in bed! We really enjoy the theme nights, once again my DS Sam asked me as soon as he got off of the bus what movie we were doing tonight and got upset when I told him we didn't have one planned :( I'm now trying to figure out a quick way to do a Tron night for tomorrow, lol.

Tonight I took Ben and Emily to the viewing party for Minnie's Masquerade at The Disney Store. Emily dressed as Rapunzel, Ben refused to put on any kind of costume, lol, not even a character tee. The party was really cute, they started off with coloring pages while waiting for the party to begin. Next they watched half of the show and then made crowns just like Mickey and Minnie did on the show. After the crowns were made they went on to finish the program and then danced as they were dancing on screen. Ben was one of only a couple of princes so they had lots of partners, lol. After dancing they were given ribbons for best costumes and did a parade throughout the store. The kids all had fun, they got to take home a sheet of magnets from Minnie's Maquerade. One of the CM's who sees us in the store so much noticed that we were missing a child (Sam, who wanted to stay home with dad and Christian) so she bagged up goodies for us to take home to him. After the party we picked up dinner from my DH's restaurant (he's a GM of California Pizza Kitchen).

It was a fun afternoon. We had no theme night planned for this weeked which Sam was bummed about when he got home from school today so I'm now scurrying around trying to figure out what to do for Tron! I haven't seen the movie yet so I have no idea what to do!

Some pictures of the event tonight

Awww! I love  the Minnie Masquerade pictures!!!

That was so sweet that the CM noticed Sam stayed home and made him a goodie bag! (You really are spending too much time there. :lmao::lmao:)

G'luck with Tron night! I don't know anything about the movie ... so no suggestions here. :(

Loving the pics of your kids at the Party. I wanted to take my DD to it but she is with her father this weekend. I suggested they take her, but they were to tiered to.:headache: I suggested it to the boys but they just gave me that "yea right mom.":rotfl2: Oh well, I'll just have to take them to the earth day thing and they can trade in their plastic bags for reusable bags.:woohoo:

I love how the CM thought of your son who stayed at home. I love CM's !!:yay:

So many comments to make...

First of all, if the CM knew you were missing a child, exactly how time (or better yet how much money):rotfl2: do you spend in this store? Seriously what a thoughtful CM! Emily is so pretty in her dress (we went through a boot stage with Boo...and it was not even raining...he wore them everywhere...including mass). I am going to have to pull out some of Ab in her dresses when she was little to share!

Thanks for the link to the penguin cupcakes. I showed them to Ab but she wanted to make the scones (after all it is more "English" and since they had never seen the movie they could not figure out how penguins fit into a story set in London).

TRON...hmmm, maybe a space theme or robots?! I can understand the disappointed kids over no movie night...what a great family bonding time this has become and we have only done a couple. We were walking down the Walmart clearance isle this afternoon and the boys kept finding things to use for movie nights...and I kept thinking this would make a great scavenger hunt gift on Christmas!

Thanks so much and yes I really do spend way too much time at The Disney Store :rotfl: My DH's restuarant is a few stores down from the store so it's too easy to run in there when I'm visiting DH.

I ended up not doing Tron tonight. We had baseball pretty much all day so I didn't have time to really plan anything. I found some ideas over on the Family Fun website but nothing that really grabbed my attention so we're just going to watch the movie, no special food or activities :(
