Can I purchase DP after I made room reservations

Question: I have a family trip coming up and paid for four rooms. Three are on the AP discount. One is some other discount. Anyway, can I purchase the Dining Plan before the trip? In other words, I don't want to have to cancel those rooms and rebook on a Vacation Package as I have an AP and do not need tickets and most of the family in the party will only purchase 2 day tickets vs. the five nights we will be there.

The Dining Plan can only be added to a package, it can't be purchased alone. But you should be able to make a "ticketless package" of just room+dining. If your current reservations are room-only (deposit = 1 night stay, balance due at check-in) then that will need to be converted to package reservations (deposit = $200, balance due 30 days prior to arrival).

ETA: a ticketless package can only be booked over the phone, not online

I recently just phoned them up. A cast member asked for my reservation and it was added to the balance. Very easy to do.
