Long story short....The Canadian dollar is probably going to hit it's highest point for the year sometime this week. I would like to pay for my reservation at the CCI at that time or do I have to wait for check in?

They should let you pay in advance. Call and ask to do it, or, alternatively, ask to purchase gift certificates, and use those for your stay.

I have paid in advance at park vue so you should be able to just call and tell them you want to pay in advance

We've paid in advance at the CCI before. It was not a problem at all. Just make sure to keep all your receipts and paperwork for when you do check in, just in case the computer file is missing something.

ooh I have been holding off on purchasing my parkhoppers due to our dollar. If you are right, maybe I should act soon? Although the dollar today is not great. What do you know? :)

Yes, but if you're paying with a credit card, you're getting dinged anyway. You can always hold it with the credit card and buy American cash this week and travel down with it. That's typically what I do if given the option.

not true -- I have a credit card that does not charge any foreign exchange transaction fee so when I use it, i am charged the posted daily exchange rate! I have tracked the exchange rate on the days I use my credit card and my credit card exchange rate usually at the same or a slightly better rate that getting cash! And i don't get cash at the bank either :-)
my credit card has no annual fee which is a bonus

i heard that this Wed (july 12th) we may notice a change in the rate

We just discussed much the same last night but I do not think we will see a huge spike in the dollar..I think the predictions are like .01 on the dollar..so it ultimately means a pretty modest savings and paying out money that I could leave In my bank acount till later. .05 cents I would be a little more keen...but everything I have read (and my trusty crystal ball ..lol) said that might come but not for a while and it will depend on $50 a barrell oil. Our outlook is we are dollar cost averaging our trips to the days when we were at or near par....those were the days.
