Can I pay all my bills using the Chase rewards card and get rewards?

I want to pay for all my bills using my Chase rewards card, including my mortgage....will I get rewards against those types of transactions? (including utility bills, internet, etc...)?

I pay as many bills as possible with my card. Just be sure that your utility co does not charge a fee (more than the reward would be) to pay by credit card!

We are not able to pay mortgage with our CC....but we do pay cable, utilities, and even insurance with a CC.

You can not, in general, pay one form of credit (mortgage) with another form (credit card). You will have to check with the bills you want to pay, as to if you can pay them.

I have the Chase rewards and earn 5x's the points when I shop. I try to use mine for all the major purchases like groceries and our car payment. I also use the bill pay on chase where I don't get credit for any purchases. (It does have a credit card option but the retailers are limited) It does add up over time though. I get gift cards with my reward points. I am saving up for a Hyatt gift certificate through Chase right now. My gas company charges a $4.00 fee to use a credit card.

We are not able to pay mortgage with our CC....but we do pay cable, utilities, and even insurance with a CC.

We too can not pay the mortgage with a credit card. I also can't pay my water bill or car registration with it, without paying a fee. I do pay my phone bill, cable bill, and electric bill with it though. I also charge everyday purchases (gas, restaurants, groceries, clothing, beauty shop, nail salon, doctor visits, annual house insurance, etc) with it.

I do this with my Amex card. I put the phone, cable, utilities, gym memberships and any other recurring charges on the card plus I use it for gas & grocers for double points.

We pay for everything else with a cc, cable, phone, cell, insurance, etc.., just can't figure out how to play the mortgage that way.

Most mortgage holders will not accept credit cards for payment. There maybe some out there but I've never come across one.

You might be able to work around it if you were to use one of those courtesy checks that they are always sending and write it out to yourself. Deposit the money and then pay your mortgage. But most credit cards charge an arm & a leg in interest from the time that you take the money for these cash advances and I know that the Disney Visa does not give reward points for them.

I pay what I can with my Chase Visa, but hardly anything accepts it. I can pay the phone and cable, but my electric company only accepts mastercard and discover and my HOA doesn't accept any cc, not does my water co. I've just started charging groceries to earn more rewards. My mortgage co also does not accept cc. But my doctors/dentist do.

I have been paying my car registration bill with cc anyway, it is a $3 fee, but I forget to send a check and the options are: send a check, or pay with a fee online!

I always wait until last min. and end up paying online.
