Can I order off of the kids' menu at CRT?

Hey there, gang! This morning I was finally able to make my ADR's for my upcoming trip to WDW in September, and I am thrilled that I was able to get reservations at all the restaurants that my daughter and I were aiming for! I was able to secure Cinderella's Royal Table for the first time ever, and my daughter is just thrilled :) My question is...can adults order off the children's menu and vice versa? I wasn't sure if CRT was different than the other table service meals when it comes to that sort of thing.

Thanks so much for your help! Have a wonderful evening!

Adult can order from kid's menu. Double portion, adult price. Kid who paid child price can only order from the kid's menu. I guess you can say you child is over 10, pay for adult price and order from the adult menu. The easiest thing to do is probably switching or sharing your plates.

Oh okay, thanks so much for your help :) I know the food on the adult menu is probably great, but I just keep eyeing up that turkey pot pie on the children's menu haha.

CRT is a fixed price meal. They will charge you the adult price, but you could ask the server if you could get something from the kid's menu. Not sure of the policy on that. I doubt they would have a problem with your child ordering off the adult menu and paying the adult price.

If you are on the dining plan, they will charge you 2 credits each.

I'm a little confused though. If you're not on the dining plan, you would have had to pay at the time of booking.

How about she orders what you want and you order what she wants and you swap plates?

It's not really a pot pie. It's a ramekin of what you'd normally think of as pot pie filling, topped with a single thin biscuit. There is no crust.

Personally, I think CRT's food quality (dinner) has gone down over the year. I remember the good old days with the A la carte menu--the food used to be decent. Well, it's all for the atmosphere. Akershus is such a better value, especially with dining credit.

I may switch plates if she wants anything from the adult menu. But if not, then I am glad to hear that ordering something off the children's menu shouldn't be a problem :) We are using the dining plan, so I guess it will be four dining credits total regardless of what menu we order from. Thanks so much for taking the time to help!

Oooh okay, that makes sense! I think it still sounds delicious haha.

Oh we are absolutely doing it for the atmosphere. I do not expect to be impressed enough with the food to ever return haha. I just wanted my daughter to experience eating in the castle while she is still little :)

I found this thread while searching for something else, but when we ate at CRT in August 2015, my salmon-obsessed DD was able to order a child portion of the salmon from the adult menu, no up-charge for an adult. The server just had to go back to check that there was a piece of fish small enough to be considered kid portion.

And just as an FYI, I never felt like spending 2 dining credits on CRT, so we paid OOP there and use our 2 dining credits elsewhere.
