so if I open the card and on the same day get a lot of disney cards...will I save the 5% plus the special for opening the card and then can I use the disney cards to pay for my resort?

NOt exactly sure if I am understanding, but I don't think you get a discount on Gift cards, ever, but I could be wrong
We've gotten 5% off non-Target gift cards when we've used the RedCard.
Wow, Never have I been able to do that, it is like giving a discount of cash I am betting it is a mistake, but I could be wrong
This is talked about here all the time. Most gift cards are considered by Target as "entertainment cards" and do qualify for the 5% off. Target gift cards are not included.
I would question the benefit in the long run.
Every time you open a charge card just to get the % off, it goes on your credit score and if you are considering a big purchase any time soon it may not be to your advantage to have so much "credit" out there.
Whats the scoop on using Disney gift cards to pay for your resort stay?
I've "heard" that it can NOT be done. Has anyone actually personally used a stack of gift cards to pay for their Disney resort stay?
I HAVE used a thick stack of (Target purchased) Disney gift cards to pay for my Disney cruise. Twice.
And, yes, using your Target red card to pay for Disney gift cards DOES indeed drop the price by 5%.![]()
