Here's the situation. My dh's aunt & uncle & niece are coming to Disney with us in December. Unfortunately, my uncle broke his leg last Monday. My aunt thinks they should cancel the trip. My uncle thinks they should go and deal with it there. It is a really bad break so recovery will probably be up to a year. He figured he could hang out at the resort if he wasn't up to the walking. So who knows what will happen! So can I make ADRs for 7 and then, reduce to 4 later if necessary or would I have to cancel the entire reservations. I make my reservations tomorrow.

Thanks!

Yes, you can always decrease the size of your party, even if you do it at the podium. The problem is that you frequently can't increase the size.

So, keep the ADRs for 7 until you know for sure how many will be there. If WDW dining won't let you decrease the number on the phone, just do it at the podium. CMs on the phone can sometimes be strange.

I am in the same situation. My DM and DF are going, but are not sure this far out what meals they will be taking with us. They are staying offsite.

Also, we will have 2 teens that will probably decide to do their own thing from time to time.

There is a chance that we will have an ADR for 8 and then only end up with 6 or 4. Glad to know that they will not have a problem with it at the podium! :sunny:
