Can I Make a Resort Ressie Using My AP To Get an AP Discount For Someone Else?

We'll have an AP from this Nov 2 on, son may go to WDW in March 2018. If AP room discounts are available then can I make the ressie for a room he occupies?

Are you going on that trip as well? In order to make an AP-discounted reservation for his room, you should be staying at the same resort at the same time that he is staying. Otherwise, it's a no-go.

You can get an AP discount for up to 3 rooms, but the AP holder must be occupying one of those rooms.
