Can I leave my luggage at a resort I'm not staying at while I go to the park?

Yea this is not going to happen. Bell Services or Luggage Services will only delivery to an occupied room. I think you mixed the old DME luggage delivery direct to the rooms with the resort based services.

That was not our experience. We left our luggage with bell services and headed to a park. When we returned to our room after it was ready, our luggage was there waiting for us.

I might work, and it might not. We are at the Grand right now. When we got in line for ME, the sign said, Grand Floridian, Poly, and Fort wilderness. We went to, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs and then the Grand! Very strange route.

Just FYI, while we occasionally see reports such as yours of this happening (both pre and post COVID), for others reading along, this is not standard operating procedure and will be the exception, not the norm.

Seriously? Nope

Our flight lands at 9:00 and we want to get to the park as soon as possible. We would like to leave our luggage at the first stop once Magical Express leaves the airport. That way we can drop it off, head to the park, then pick it up that evening when we head to our room. Our resort is one of the last stops and our room won't be ready anyway. It will be one bag. I can't find the answer anywhere. Thanks!!

I have stay at the Pop recent August 2020, November 2020, and February 2021 and each time when I arrived at the resort my room was not ready so I checked my bags with bell services. Each of these times I returned to my room later in the day and my luggage in my room was waiting for me.

I did not confuse anything. I picked up my bags at the airport, took them with me on Magical Express, room was not ready, left bags with the bell staff, and my bags were in my room when I got there later.

Possibly it is done routinely at the Values and not as routinely at the Moderates and Deluxes.

I've noticed that the times I've stayed at a Value they have put my luggage in my room. I haven't stayed in a Mod since I arrived late at night so I went straight to my room with luggage, bu in Feb when I was at the Poly I had to call once I was in my room.

I wonder if they have found that people at Mods and Deluxes tend to have "issues" with their room location and request a room change more than people at Values so they feel like it's safer to put the luggage in the Value rooms?

IIRC "Luggage Assistance" at the Values are contracted workers while Bell Services at Moderates and Deluxes are CMs so maybe that has something to do with it also.

Hmm... Possibly. You'd think they'd rather have CMs taking luggage to the rooms rather than contracted workers though. But possibly!

Good guess. That would make sense. I have never heard, or read, before of luggage being put in rooms,(other than DME luggage service.) I know it is a rule that they can NOT put luggage in unoccupied rooms, even if you request it. That is SO out of the ordinary.

So weird. Because my stays at Sports, Music, AoA, and Pop I had an early flight, left my luggage with bell services whi made a note that I was checking in and my room was not ready, and it was in my room when I got back after being in the parks and getting my text with room number.

I've seen others at Values report the same thing.

But I had to call at the Poly in February.

I wasn't aware you could check your bag into a resort you weren't staying at. I'm with those suggesting you just get an uber or something so you can get straight to your resort, drop your bag properly, and just fetch it whenever you get back from the park or take a break.

Sure any Disney resort will hold your luggage for the day. But since the OP has not returned I guess they made their decision.

Even if you could, how would you get your luggage from the other resort to your resort? You can't bring luggage on busses other than the ME.
