can I just use ME for the luggage?

We are going to WDW and are staying onsite. We usually stay at SOG and rent a car and honestly, we get such a great rate, we'll probably rent a car again despite being able to use ME. I would love to let ME handle the bags so I don't have to wait for them and lug them to the car rental counter. Can I do this? Just tag the bags and let them bring them to my room?

We also considered sending one or 2 family members on the bus, with ALL the luggage. Never got around to trying it though.

Disney will tell you DME is not a luggage transportation service. However some people use it as such.

We haven't used it as a luggage service, but the last two trips DH gets the car and the kids and I take ME. They like the video on the bus and it is part of the trip to them. Anyway, it works out for us because we usually have quite a few bags, if we don't have to worry about fitting the bags in a car , then we get a smaller car then we normally would. We arrived at our hotel within minutes of each other. Now that last time we rented at Mco from Dollar ( going to Daytona not Disney ) we waited over an hour to get our car!
