Hi.. I have an annual pass already paid in full with expiration date in Oct, I am requesting the cancellation and refund but seems that is going to take a while..

On the other hand, I have hotel reservations for May 2021, and need the park tickets for the park reservations...

Do you know if I could purchase another one right away (which will be activated in May)? Or do I have to wait for the cancellation of the current one?

Thanks

My understanding as of today, you can only renew a annual pass. You cannot buy a new one. Supposedly soon maybe on 06-28 you will be able to purchase a new pass, but who knows. I think you’ll be able to get one soon.

I think this backs up the need to allow DVC members to reserve parks without tickets and at the 60 day mark the system checks and either you have tickets or you have an annual pass that is expiring during that 60 day window (or however the annual pass renewal window works).

You do not need to wait until your current one expires. You can go ahead and purchase a new pass (not today, but once they open AP sales again) and it gets attached to your account as a voucher until you activate it in person. This allows you to make park reservations for your upcoming stays.

You can hold us used vouchers and have more than one. But, AP sales are shut down and no one knows for sure if it will open with the 2021 ticket sales on June 28th.

I think they will wait until 2020 tickets go on sale...but feeling good those may happen sooner than later....

Now I did read elsewhere last night that someone was able to buy an AP through AAA. Obviously a full priced one.

I have my current AP (expires in Sept '20) and a non-used AP tied to my account. So, it is possible to have more than one tied to your account at the same time.
