Can I have advice please?

I have booked VA flights through Kenwood travel...I called today to see if I could fly back a day later..They told me yes but the fly had gone up £25 pp...I looked on VA web site and the flight there hasn't gone up...so why are KT telling me it has....I take it they themselves are just asking more...not VA.

Can anyone explain...Iam a bit dim when it comes to booking flights...

No...it wasn't an admin charge...She said I could fly out a day earlier for the no extra charge...but the flight back I wanted on the 3rd had gone up.?/

I just called and asked...they said their cheaper seats have gone??...whatever that means....basically sounds like they have just marked the price up themselves on their allocation of VA seats.

Doesn't help me...if only I'd booked directly with VA.

All airlines have different seat prices within each cabin.
If say, there are 100 seats in economy, the first 10 will be at price A then when they have been sold, the next set of 10 can be at price B etc.

With travel agents, they have an allocation vbetween them of, say 25 of the 100 seats. when these have been sold, they have to get seats in the next level.
the airline will have their own allocation of seats which is why the price will be different.

For example, in Upper Class to orlando, there are 14 seats. Virgin holidays will have possibly two of these 14 at what is called "Z" class. if they sell these then the price goes up to the price laid down by Virgin in classes D or G. If you look on Virgin Atlantics site, there will be their allocation of Z class tickets still showing.
