Hi all,
I'll be going to a conference at the Contemporary July 29-30. I'll be traveling by myself and have decided to stay a few extra days. Since, even with our conference rate, the value and mod resorts would be cheaper than the Contemporary, would it be worthwhile to stay at another hotel?
I would have to be at CR by 8 in the morning Sat and Sun. Would Disney transportation get me there in time? Would I have to rent a car?
Also, traveling solo, does the CR have much more to do? easy to get places? etc?

You can always jump on a bus. They have early ones so people can make it to breakfast at Chef Mickeys.

Personally I would stay at CR for the entire stay.

First of all you will be there. If you have to get something you need, or you want to drop something off it is a quick trip to your room. If there is some sort of group activity and you want to change clothes you are there.

Also, it is a full service hotel with inside corridors and only an elevator ride (or short walk from a wing) to the shops and restaurants.

Also you will have monorail access to MK and Epcot. If you go to one of the other parks the bus stop is right outside the main entrance and the buses are not crowded (no matter what time of day).

as has pointed out - CR is on the monrail. So it has a ton of easy to get to places....

It is a full service resort. So it has just about everything on property. but if you want to rent a boat - I would go to the Polyn - seven seas lagoon vs bay lake....

has a nice snack bar.

mother favorite hotel is the Cont...
