I have a 7 night trip planned for Sept 24 - Oct 1. I booked a 7 night package with 7 day MYW + Park Hopper and Dining Plan for 4 People.

My Mother, Father and I will be staying for all 7 days but my girlfriend has to leave on the 4th day.

Here is my question. My grandfather who is 81 years old is planning on joining us the day after my girlfriend has to leave. He is purchasing his own 3 day park ticket at a florida resident + senior citizen rate. Would he be able to stay in our room and use the remaining meals that we would have since my girlfriend has to leave on day 4 and will not be there. I figure since I have paid for 4 people in the room for the entire stay and the meal plan is for the entire stay, that I would not be breaking any rules. My grandfather will not be participating in an extra magic hours events so that wont be a problem.

Is this ok to do?

That shouldn't be a problem. You've already paid the rate for the 4 adults... When your GF leaves, tell the front desk there will be someone replacing them for the duration of the stay.

As for your Grand Dad's ticket, he can get a Florida Resident, but not a senior citizen discount because once you're through the arches, everyone's a "kid" again.

hmmmm... i'd like to agree w/the previous poster, but i'd have to say you may be forced to split the ressie in two.. buying a package ticket for g'pa in order to make him eligible for the free dining... not sure i would open the can of worms since technically you are not breaking any rules (if you don't count not telling them that your gf is leaving and won't be there to use all the free meals she's being given)... yet you're not being 100% honest either... it's really a personal decision...

I agree. I dont want to be dishonest and I have no problem not using the dining plan for my grandfather but I was more concerned about the room situation. I just didn't want him to pay for a room when there was an opening in our room which was paid for all 4 people.

Thank you for your help.

I didn't even read that part about the meals. *wipes brow* It was a busy day,I'd just gotten home from the parks. *grins*

Since the meals are pooled, I doubt when you present the room keys for it, they'll even bother to see/check for the name on it. For a better clarification, call CRO and they should be able to tell you.

i'm sure they won't check names... but what you are doing is getting free meals for a person who won't be there, kwim? it would be like me adding my niece to my ressie because it's w/in our room capacity limit, and not bringing her, saving her ticket to use in the future, and using her free meals for those of us that are actually there, kwim?
