Was wondering if anyone here could help or has done this? I am really wanting to use a pic from Disney for our Xmas card this year and we just got back yesterday---wonderful time might I add and great weather!----- Does anyone know if I could use the picture Disney took in front of the castle to make into a card or the MVMCP pic that they take?---Are they copyrighted and I won't be able to do this or can I get a release from them like we did for one of the pics we had taken on the cruise a few years ago??

We took so many pics with our camera that I don't think I'll have enough time to get them all developed before Xmas to turn one of those into a Xmas card so I was hoping I would be able to use one of these-----What about those machines where you can put in a snapshot and crop it the way you want and make a copy---Could I use that????

Any ideas would be greatly appreciate as I don't have much time with Xmas approaching fast! Thanks!:D

I had a great family picture taken by the photographers that stop you at AK. After I got home I decided to make copies for the two granddads for father's day....no luck. The places I took it to would not make a copy due to copyright laws, and the machine where you do it yourself wouldn't copy because it sensed professional paper. It just didn't occur to me to get more copies in the first place, but next time......

When I purchased my picture at Splash Mountain in DL, the cm specifically told me the pictures are not copyrighted and that I could make copies at home without a problem. I did scan it and print copies through a website (Ofoto, I think) without a problem. I'm not sure if it's the same for the other pictures, but there's no harm in trying. The quality won't be as good as if it was printed directly from the file, but it may still be OK.

Thanks TTFN---That's what I was afraid of ---anyone else know if I can get a copyright release from Disney for this???

I just did this the other day. Same situation...just back, took 14 rolls of film and have no time to have them developed to see which is good for a card.

We did have a picture of our son taken with Santa in Downtown Disney and bought 2 pages. I decided to try bring this to the Kodak-make-your-own-copy thing at the local Wal-Mart. At first the lady argued with me...but, it didn't have a copyright symbol on the back finally she told me to try it that the machine would not do it if it was not allowed. I was pretty sure that it would work...and it did! I was sooo happy!!!

I would try it....cannot hurt.

Thanks KLAIT!

Can you make Xmas cards from the Kodak machine?? Or did you just get regular copies and put them in a card? Wish me luck as I was already considering trying this so hopefully it will work.

For simplicity, I just copied mine and put them in a card. It was so busy by the machine that I didnt want to draw it out...but I did notice that there was an option to "make cards and something else".

Good luck!
