Hi All ~ My teenager doesn't want to sleep with anyone, so I'd like to get a cot at ASMu. We are still only 4 in the room. Can I get a cot? Thanks, Sandra

No What we did for my DD was use a twin size air bed that we brought from home they are on sale this week at Wallmart for $9.99

I was thinking about doing the same....we already have one. We only take carry-ons, but we are packing EXTRA light for July's trip....I might just take it! Thanks! Sandra

PS: Where in the room did you put the mattress? Thanks! S

I just pumped up the twin air matress. If it still holds air, it's coming to Florida! Thanks! Sandra

The air bed will fit between the bed and the door. If you move the table and chairs it will fit in that space as well.

I can't remember if those beds are on the platforms (like at POP) if not you can move the inside bed against the wall and put the air bed between the two.

Is the air mattress heavy though? We would like to do the same, but are worried about weight restrictions on the suitcases. We are going for 10 days and can't pack too lightly.

When we stayed at POP in September we rented a cot for $15.00 a night as we had a teenage daughter who did not want to sleep with anyone.
In 2003 we stayed at ASMo and used an airmatress in the room we just moved the table and chairs.

even with the pump they only weigh a couple pounds

Back in 1997 we stayed at ASSports. My son turned 17 while we were there. My daughter had just turned 12. I asked for a cot at checkin. The CM, without looking up, suggested the children could sleep together. When I told her that was illegal where I come from she turned bright red and told me a cot would be in the room by the end of the day and it was. In the morning we just folded it up and moved it out of the way to give us more room to get ready for our day in the parks. I can't believe that was 12 years ago so maybe things have changed.

We have been bringing a full size (double) aerobed back and forth to WDW for a few trips now. The two DD's (16&13) will not sleep together and I will not splurge on a second room:rotfl:
The aerobed is heavy because it has a built in motor to blow the mattress up when you plug it in. We only check 2 bags the bed being one of them.
The weight of the suitcase with the aerobed weighs 35lbs. This also included a pillow and all the bedlinens.
We have used it at SSR(2x) and POP(1x)-very tight fit and it will be coming with us to CSR this August!!!!!

I booked POP yesterday and they said I could request a cot for $15 a night. Thing is, I'm still considering bringing the twin air mattress.

Should I?

Or should I just go for the cot?

Blessings, Sandra:confused3
