Can I forget about a RPH room discount?

So, I just called and asked about AP and AAA rates. None were available for my dates (October 10-12). Is there any hope at all? Any recommendations on what to do?

keep rechecking for the discounts.

people do cancel out their trips at times and their rooms go back into the pool with the discounts they carried on the ressie.


i pulled up rph and the place has rooms for your dates.
you are lucky, most of the time it is hard to get a room on a friday or saturday.
sometimes you have to add the night before in order to get the rate you want.
i did that this year, i booked starting the 9th to get the rate i wanted.

it's worth a try.

some agents like orange vacations will book up a group of rooms to see with their packages for universal.

when they eventually know they are not going to sell them to their clients, they release the block of rooms back to the hotel.

to avoid charges, if you have reserved a room and cancel it before 5 days out of arrival, you get the deposit refunded.

many rooms can show up 6 days out of your vacation or earlier.

all i can do is share the experiences i have gone thru.

i stayed off site until the year after the hotels went up.
been on site every since.
