Can I dontate my daughter's remaining ticket days to another family?

I purchased her a 6 day pass with the water park option, and I'm going to have (2) extra water park days on her ticket. I might even have an extra park day left, depending on how the trip works out. I don't want it to go to waste, but I don't know if I can donate it to another family. I thought since we could do it with our dining credits, that maybe I could do it with the ticket, too (even though I know it says you can't transfer tickets). It's going to expire a week after we leave, but I thought maybe I could find someone who's checking in on Aug 29th or 30th and leave it at their hotel front desk for them.

I'm not looking to pay for the non-expiry option, either. It's a tightly budgeted trip this time, and an extra $65 is something I can't afford to pay.

I just don't want to have to throw away park admission.

If she's young enough that she's not getting finger-scanned (and thus making it impossible for another person to use), I wouldn't see the harm in it.

Maybe I am really, really confused but in this previous thread (yesterday) http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1155742 you said you only bought 1-day ticket for your dd since you and your son have APs. So all you will have to do is, upon arrival, add the appropriate # of days to your dd's 1-day ticket, then you won't have any extra days left. HTH!

p.s.s. And you answered, I believe, your own queston when you said "I know the tickets are non-transferable."

Why not pay to have it be non expiring? That way you can use those days later?

'water park days'? If you mean water park visits thats one thing.. but your 6 day pass started ticking the day you started using it.. if you goto the water parks or not. You are allowed to skip one day.. but your ticket had a fixed lifetime of 7 days max from the time it was first used. The only way that differs is if you bought the non-expiring option.. which for a 6 day pass is $$$.

OK, let me try and clarify. I'll use the following as a scenario:

I buy DD a 6 day ticket with water park fun & more. (For a 6 day ticket, that's 5 visits).

We use 5 park days and 2 water park visits during our trip.

This will leave 1 park day and 3 water park visits unused when we leave.


Since I have 14 days 'til it expires (and I'll first use it on Aug. 23rd), it will be good til September 5th. Can I give it to another family who could use it before 9/5?

I understand exactly what you're saying and think it's a wonderful gesture to make to someone. You're not looking to sell it, just offer unused options to someone else. Several years ago (when all passes were non-expiring), a DISer mailed me a child's pass that had 2 plus options on it. We re-scheduled our quick Labor Day trip to late Sept, or I would take you up on your offer myself!

If your child is old enough for a finger scan then no you can't do that.

What age kids do they fingerscan? If they are age 4 and in a stroller, do they fingerscan?

Your ticket is good for 14 days from first use.
