We'll be on the free dining plan starting this Sat. Dec. 21 thru Jan. 3.

We're meeting up one day with friends who are visiting family in FL.

We are a family of 4 adults - me, DH, DD21 & DD17.

The friends we're meeting up with are 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 10 and under).

We have an ADR at Teppando the night we'll be with them.

We were thinking of having our older kids take their kids off to do something fun and we'd treat the other couple to dinner at Teppanado.

Since we are 4 adults on the DDP, can we do this for our 2 adult friends? Our party would still be 4 adults, just not us and our kids.

No. From the Disney Dining Plan Brochure's FAQ:
Q. Can I use my Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family members who are not included in my reservation or have not purchased a Disney dining plan?
A. Sorry, you may not use your Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family members who are not included in your reservation or have not purchased a Disney dining plan.

No. In actuality, probably. Since you can "pay" with one magic band, it will show 4 adults are on your plan. They won't ask your names.

No, you can't use your dining plan to buy meals for your friends if they are not on the dining plan.

Totally WRONG to even thing about cheating the system!

One could argue that since she's already paid for 4 adults to dine, she should be able to use her pre-paid credits for 4 adults, regardless of who they are. I wouldn't call it "cheating the system," I would call it not playing by the rules she agreed to when she bought the DDP.

Closing it because it's now a discussion of using your DDP credits in ways that WDW asks that guests specifically not use them.
