Can I choose which ticket when making FP?

I have not been to WDW since FP+. My 60 day is coming up soon. We have 10 tickets now but will be there 11 days. Have been waiting for DAH but now thinking about just buying a 1 day ticket instead. It would be cheaper. When my FP window opens will I be able to choose which ticket? I don’t want to mess up and use one of my 10 days.

"Which" ticket, if you have more than one, does not matter at all when booking FP+.
All that matters is that you have enough "days" worth of ticket(s) registered IN your MDX account when you book FP+.

You can scan into a park using ANY ticket that is in your MDX on any day (for which that ticket is valid for entry to a park,)
and your booked FP+ will also simply "work" on that day, regardless of which ticket you use.

To answer your question, no. You can't.
You just book FP for the number of days for which you have ticket entitlements. That's it.

Sorry to be so dumb about this. So you are saying that if I have a 1 day non-hopper for 5/14 and 10 day hopper that I do not have to worry that my hopper will be used when I scan in at the park on 5/14?

For selecting FP+, it won't matter; however, when you get to Disney World you will need to stop by a ticket booth and have them prioritize which ticket you want to use on which days so that you use the non park hopper on the day you are not doing park hopping. If that isn't your first day, you may need to stop daily until you reach that day, not sure.

That is a totally different question than what is used to book FP
As PP mentioned, you DO have to worry when it comes to entering the park. You will need to stop outside the park to ask Guest Services to prioritize your 10 day park ticket to be sure it is used first. Then, after entering I would still check to be sure it didn't use the single day ticket. If it does, you can get them to fix it but it's a pain and time consuming
I do wonder though, how this will be now that they sell date based tickets. Especially in regards to single day tickets. This may not longer be as big an issue since the 1 day ticket should only be valid on the date selected at time of purchase but having an AP I'm not sure, I have little personal experience buying and using these new types of tickets.

Thanks for the replies. My plan is to use the 1 day ticket at AK. Glad to know I can fix it afterwards if needed. I am sure I will not have time to stop at guest services first. I will check before I leave the park. Not that it matters but I bought the 10 day tickets before the change so they are not tied to certain dates.

I would say stop one of the days and get it fixed first, that will take far less time than fixing it after the fact. Fixing it ahead of time can be done at any ticket booth and should take about 5 minutes at most, doing it after can only be done at guest relations and may take an hour or so get to fix.

Ok I may try to do it first. We will be arriving late the night before. That is our first day in the parks so probably no chance for FOP FP. I am thinking will have to get to the park 90 min early already. It will be tough to get my DD there any earlier.

You might be able to prioritize it at your hotel concierge the night before, not sure though.

I'm not sure how late the Concierge is available.
The CM at the front desk might be able to do it.

I don't believe hotel concierge can do it but I do think they can do it on the phone if you give them a call. Because I would do anything possible to avoid having to try and spend time to fix it later. I've dealt with fixing it later. It's a PITA and really puts a huge damper on vacation.

It's the 1 day ticket that matters. Is it attached to a specific date? That's the one you don't want to be used incorrectly. When did you buy it? Before or after the change? Though again, I'm not positive it would make a difference but if it did, that is the only one that would.
@Robo have you heard anything about how that would work? Would a date based ticket always be the ticket used if you go to enter on THAT date? Is that something anyone has even tried or thought of? It's probably only a significance on short duration tickets like 1, 2 days when they have very short use windows.

I took your advice. I spoke to someone in internet tech support. She prioritized my tickets. One less thing to worry about. Thanks!

Excellent
I would give the ticket a look after toy sheet the park the first day just to be triple sure it didn't use the wrong one. The app has a lot of flaws but it is easy to check the entitlements on individual tickets

Instead of getting a 10-day and a 1-day, you should definitely consider upgrading to an annual pass. The discounts add up quickly and could make this a better deal for you.
