Can I check 2 golf bags for my free bags with Southwest?

yes you can. DH and I do it all the time. You get two free bags. It doesn't matter if it's golf clubs or a suitcase.

... And not oversized. Many full-sized golf bags in a cover are going to be over 62" total measure, which triggers the oversize charge.
