Yes. I've done it many times in order to keep rewards dollars from expiring. You will still need to enter a CC or debit card even if the rewards card has more than enough to cover the cost of the GC.

Yup! I did this after my last WDW trip when I had points remaining on my rewards card. Gift cards never expire while the rewards cards are only good until the end of the next year after redeeming points.
