Can I bring an approved firepit to a cabin?

We just got back a couple days ago and would have liked to do some marshmallow roasting and campfire but since we stayed in a cabin, we didn't think we could. But wondered if anyone had done that by bringing an approved firepit. There is the concrete pad right next to the grill and in front of the steps that we thought we could use, obviously not on the ground under the trees.

Has anyone ever done that?

We also noticed that there was about 5 or 6 cabins that had their grill ON their deck which we would have thought was unsafe due to the charcoal on the wood, but I guess Disney is okay with it. That made us think that we could have the firepit on the deck too. What's your opinion??

My opinion, I have no idea what the official rule is. I wouldn't put any fire pit on a wood deck. It might discolor or dry out the wood. On a concrete pad I would.

1) Roasting marshmallows in a fire pit could be tough.
2) The ONLY approved pits
. . . have a hard top
. . . must be enclosed with wire mesh on the sides
. . . no sparks or embers must be allowed to escape the pit
3) Thus, an approved pit has no way to get the marshmallow over the fire.
