Can I book my stay now for Sept 2011?

We are planning on going back to Disney World September 2011. I want to get my ducks in a row so to speak. I was wondering is it possible to book now and start making payments? We could do it either way, but makes more sense to me to pay over time if it is an option, that would give us over 14 months to pay. So what do you think? Can I do it?

Thanks for the help in advance.

When I inquired in 2009 about dates for Christmas 2010 I was told WDW accepts room-only reservations over the phone up to 499 days in advance. Pricing/packages were not yet available. You can reserve the room now and modify your reservation as needed. I would call Disney 407-W-DISNEY to inquire since they are currently only booking through December 2010 on line. HTH.

you can book your room now but you will have to pay the highest room rate for that resort. The rates for 2011 come out the middle of August. Hope that helps

I would just wait. There really isn't much point in booking now, and if you book a room only now and then decide to change it to a Package later because of a special offer I am pretty sure that they can't just apply the money you have already paid to the new reservation. You have to make an entirely new reservation with a new deposit and then wait until they process and send you a refund. And having a room already booked doesn't provide any preference for getting that same resort and room type if you do decide to book a special package (like Free Dining or Free Gift Card or any of the other types of specials they run)

I would just open a separate bank account and put the money I would be sending to Disney in there instead. Even better if it gets interest. That way you aren't tied to a reservation you may not actually need and your money is there for you to use exactly how you need to when you make your actual plans.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna wait. Just to much trouble at the moment. I would prefer to start paying and have it paid for well in advance, but if we had a differnt account my DH would find some other use for it. Always does. LOL

You don't have to tell him about it!;)
