Can I book a hotel room with AP discount for stay after AP expires?

We have annual passes that expire in mid-Dec. I am going on a 3 night Disney cruise in early Feb with my sister, brother, and SIL in Feb. We are flying in the night before the cruise leaves and planning to stay at Disney world for the night before taking the Disney cruise transportation to the port in the morning.

If AP discounts are announced later this year for that time period and they are better than general population discounts, can I use my AP to book the discounted rate even though my pass will be expired by the time that we stay? Is that allowed? We'll probably just book value since it's just the one night.

No. The AP must be live at time of stay, not at time of booking.

As the pp said, a current AP is needed at time of stay. You can book under an AP discount without having an AP at time of booking, but a valid AP is needed at check in.
