Hi all. I am wondering can I boil turkey legs.

I have been cooking the turkey legs about 5 hours now by boiling them.

I figure if i can boil chicken I could boild turkey is that true.

If not I am trouble then.

I would have to ask how do you cook turkey legs.

I've simmered turkey bones and/or legs, but not boiled. Usually I bring it to a boil & then reduce the heat because I let it on most of the day. The turkey flavor is stronger that way.

It has a totally different flavor when simmered instead of roasted.

To answer your last question, I've simmered to make soup and roasted when I ran out of dark meat because my DH & kids all like dark.

I am not sure about what mean by simmered. Can explain it to me.

I am a memory overloaded at the moment.

Sorry - I logged off for the evening before you posted. :(

By "simmer" I just meant bring the water to a boil after adding the turkey & then reduce the heat to Low for several hours...as I mentioned I usually do that for most of the day.

I hope they "turned out" for you!
