Can I Apply a PIN to Existing Reservation?

I just got one of those emails with special rates using a PIN code. I am already booked for my DL vacation for November, just the deposit paid so far. Can I call the reservation number and apply my PIN to get the reduced rate or is this for new reservations only? Please advise as I've never gotten a PIN before!

Maybe. Probably. Possibly. Not a clear answer but it depends on too many factors for a simple yes/no.

If you booked a package and the PIN is for a package your chances are ok.

If you booked room only and the PIN is for room only your chances are ok.

Most importantly in this case: There have to be rooms available on that code for your dates, at your resort. (Most codes are only good for 10-50 rooms per night per resort.)

If you booked room only and now want a package with the pin (or vice-versa) you will have to cancel your current reservation, and re-book with the code.
Better yet, book the code then cancel the first reservation, code rooms can sell out fast.
It can take 10 days or longer for the refund to post to the Credit card. Packages and room only are completely different reservation systems, so they can not transfer a deposit from one to the other.

I just did exactly what you're asking. I was able to apply a 40% off PIN code to a ROOM ONLY reservation I had made before I got the code. CM said it was no problem. You can also use that PIN towards more than one trip, if it falls within the time frame of course.

Now if you can do that with a package, I have no idea. But it wouldn't hurt to ask!
