I was just wondering if there would be any problems adding my Disney visa credit card to my adult daughters My Disney Experience? We are staying in separate rooms and have separate reservations.

You could add her as an authorized user to the account. Then she would get a card that is issued in her name and she can add it to her MDE. You can still pay off the bill for her charges because they're going to go on your Disney Visa account.

I really don’t want to add her as an authorized user. I’ve done that before with my son and never again lol.

I’m pretty sure there is a way to put your credit card on file for 2 rooms at the same resort and dates.

Are you just looking to use it as a method of payment or for her to get the Disney Visa discount?

Getting the discount requires physically using the card during the transaction.

A disney Visa on room file will get the 1 or 2% cash back, but it won’t get the higher merch/dining 10 or 20% without the card and cardholder present.

make her an authorized user and not give her this can be done from your chase login.
The card number will be the same as yours either way CVC code and all.
Make sure you allow 2 weeks to get the card.
Not sure if Chase will suspend your account wit another name using the card. They are usually fast to detect fraud.

just a suggestion based on our bad experience w/disney and a credit card. ALWAYS take a second card for backup in case (as with us) they glitch on the holds/actual charges. with more than one room/reservation on a single card it was a nightmare that took an offsite disney accounting deparment to address (that did not take calls except from other departments). our credit card issuer was sympathetic, knew exactly what needed to be done to rectify but could not get anywhere with the resort to do the fix so it was a couple of weeks after we got home before thousands and thousands in incorrectly posted holds and charges were reversed. absent having a second card with you to cover expenses it's a nightmare.

Three of us have the same card attached to each of our MDE accounts (one is the card holder and the others aren't authorized users). We do all have the same last name. We are on the same reservation, but the card holder is not the primary name on the reservation. We have been doing it like this for years without issue.

You don't have to add her to anything as long as she has a phone to use via apple pay/google wallet. On our vacation I just add my credit card to my sons's apple wallet. He just uses tap to pay which it available everywhere thruoghout Disneyworld. He's never had an issue paying and I don't have to add him to any account. You can also use apple pay/google wallet to pay for mobile orders so that has never been an issue either. They only place it will be a problem is at table service locations where you need a physical card to pay or you can charge it to your room.

I only wanted my card on there to pay for the room reservation and maybe dining plan. After that I wanted to remove my card. That may not work though?

I routinely make payments on my reservations with a different card than my stored MDE card. If it's a package reservation, you can just use your card to make the payments without storing it in her profile.

Oh good! Yeah I can store her debit card and just use mine to pay for certain things?

I put my cc on file for different members of my family regardless of who is going.

If you just want to pay for the room you can either do it by phone in advance or they will charge the cc on file on the morning of the day of arrival. After they charge it, just remove it. Not sure how they charge the dining plan but I am guessing that gets charged day of arrival like the room charge.

The dining plan can only be added to a package reservation and must be done so in advance (at least 3 days prior to arrival?). Final payment on the package is due 30 days prior to arrival, or at the time of adding the dining plan if done within that 30 days.

Do they still do ticketless dining packages? At one time you could call and make a room + DDP reservation without tickets. You couldn't do it online. All the same rules for regular packages applied.

Yes, that's still possible.

Can’t I pay online for the room or do I have to call?
