Can i add "credit" to my room before i travel?

So i have just found out that Nationwide will be charging 1% from May - typically i travel on the 30th April. We are staying at BWV and i wondered if it was possible to phone up and pay say $500 in advance and have that as a credit on the room?

We did that when we stayed at Port Orleans as a surprise for my Nan but i wasnt sure if you could do it for DVC resorts?
