I am sailing 1 Apr 2016. My nephew is interested in going on a cruise. Can we add him to our cruise? We are a party of 5 in a 1 bedroom and family verdana both concierge, so we have the space. Will he be charged the current rate? We are paid in full, so if able when will we have to pay him in full? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

The only way to know for sure is to call DCL. To add a person, there must be 1) room in your stateroom for that person 2) room in the lifeboat station for the extra person and 3) room in the kids club (if the person is a child). If all of these are ok, you will pay the prevailing rates to add that person, and if you are past your paid in full date you will need to pay for him right away. If you are paid in full "early", that is you haven't passed your paid in full date, I don't think you would have to pay right away, but you would have to of course pay by your paid in full date.

Hopefully others will correct me if I'm wrong.

Totally correct. DCL asks 3 questions if you want to add someone
1. Is there space in your room for an additional person? (can't put 4 people in a 3 person room)
2. Is there space in your lifeboat for an additional person? (even if there is an empty bed in your room, the other rooms assigned to that lifeboat may be full, filling the boat)
3. Is there space in the appropriate kid's club? (if applicable)

If the answer is "no" to even one of these questions, you cannot add the person. You may be able to change rooms (usually to a higher cost room), and the person being added will pay the prevailing rate for that person (not the rate they would have paid when the original reservation was made).

Let us know the outcome please.

Thanks everyone!! I am still waiting to find out if he really wants to come. He is 24/25 so the club availability won't be an issue. I don't know how he feels about the price and ever since I book this cruise DLC has changed so many policies or trying to make you pay extra it seems like I made an expensive mistake myself for our first cruise.
