I knew you guys would know!

I have a Grand Gathering planned for January, but now one more person wants to come.

Is it possible to add her to someone's room for part of the stay? We are also on the Dining Plan which complicates the issue. Can she get the dining plan for the nights she is there?

I am hoping it is do-able without too much mess! Of course it totally messes up my ADR's!

Hopefully I can explain this the right way. You can add someone to an existing reservation, provided you are within the occupancy limits. Now for the requirements, if they are staying the same time frame, they must have the same exact package as everyone else in the room. If they are not staying the same dates, then you'll need to wait and add them after you check-in. What check-in does, is basically clear the package from the system. They can then add on the additional guest as a room only. I don't know if they can create a secondary package at that time.

Another consideration is the extra adult fee. Not sure if that will apply in your situation, but if the additional guest puts you over the limit of 2 adults in one room, then there is a fee. For values, I believe it's $10 more per night, $15 for mods and $25 for deluxes.

Thank you for your help -- She will probably not be able to do the dining plan, then, and will have to buy her ticket from the front desk, right?

Definitely ask about the dining plan when you check her in, or perhaps someone will come along and have some firsthand knowledge of adding it on for fewer days. As for the ticket, I'm guessing you mean a park ticket. That can be purchased anywhere, not necessarily at the front desk. There are some discount ticket places around, although not a huge discount, you can save a few bucks.

Thanks again! When I call CRO, they seem not to know.

Why am I not surprised  . In my experience, many of the posters here on the DIS know more than the average CRO cast member. If they tell me something that doesn't sound right, I always check it out here ;) .

First Hand Knowledge -

1) You can add her AFTER you check-in and get your room keys.
2) If more than 2-adults, you will pay a nightly fee for her.
3) She can buy park tickets at the Lobby Concierge Desk.
4) She CANNOT be on the Dining Plan.

If she is 17 or under, still an "adult," there is no extra room charge.
Several times we've had a last minute "extra", which did not mess up our ressies. I just politely asked if it would be a problem when we checked in to dine, and it never was...but it was not a Candelight package or anything like that.
