We were debating between the RPR and HRH, but I am sure we'll be cramped at RPR (335 sq ft). HRH sounds better at 375 but is there anywhere for a 5th person to sleep (daybed, etc). If not, then do the deluxe rooms at HRH definitely have a pull out sofa?

We are going in January over MLK, does anyone know what, if any, kind of room discounts are available? The website is quoting $284 for a std room and $354 for a deluxe room...any chance that will go down?

Thanks

people with 5 in their party and staying at rph or hrh, can rent a rollaway bed for $25 a night.

most just make a pallet on the floor for the 5th person.

to save money, some bring air mattresses to use.

all can call star service for extra linens to pad the floor and bedding supplies for the one sleeping on the floor.

standard rooms do not have daybeds in the rooms at rph/hrh.

Deluxe rooms at the HRH definitely have a pullout.

We are staying at the HRH with 5 in 10 days and doing the deluxe queen room. I was told two queen beds and a sofa bed....don't know the size of it but we only need it for one person so double size is fine. Not as good as having two rooms but that's to expensive for us at Universal...we are doing a mod at Disney with two rooms but got a good discount there so about the same price for two rooms as one at HRH. Oh well!

i think you have a typo.

it's an additional $25 a night for the rollaway.

would be nicer if it was $2.50 a night.....

We stayed at HRH with 5 - kids aged 14, 11, and 7. Even though it is technically bigger, because of the room configuration and the amount of furniture we felt that the amount of space we had was very similar to when we all stayed in one room at POR. We used a twin sized air mattress from home and were able to fit it by the window with just a small amount of rearranging. We were there for 7 nights, club level. A bit cramped but so worth the front of the line access!

We have 5 in our family and have stayed at both. Quite frankly, though the rooms at Hard Rock are slightly bigger, I found absolutely no difference in the living space between the 2. We bring an air mattress and we're just fine at RPR. In fact, we prefer the room since the bathroom is set up better.

The only real difference I find between the standard HRH rooms and the standard RPR rooms is that the HRH rooms have an extra sink within the part of the bathroom that holds the bathtub and the toilet.

So a few people can be getting ready at the same time at the HRH where really only one person can be doing that at the RPR.

Here are a few pictures of the bathrooms for you.
