Can FTP be transferred from one person to another?

I am thinking about an early November trip and as we missed out on FTP, I am wondering this:

If I can find someone who is planning to cancel their FTP and they are willing, can I take over their ressie by changing the name on it and then I could adjust the dates & resort to when I wanna go?

I know it's probably a longshot, but I thought I would ask anyway. Anyone know if this is doable?

I thin you had to book by june 30th for that package, so they wont do it for you. But if another promo comes up you can adjust your ressie.
