We own a 40ft Class A, that sleeps 8.. I get discounts due to my business but would like to see if it would be cheaper to use the points for a site.. WE own timeshares with 3 different camp programs. we could stay off site within 10mins for free, but we have ALWAYS (last 30yrs stayed in the world) Thanks Shelley

That topic has been discussed here in the past, @squirreltoy1, although not recently or often.

The campsites have been an option for using DVC points at other WDW non-DVC resorts.

However, the number of sites available for such transfers sounds anecdotally to be VERY limited. It's like a very rare discount code that only applies to a few number of sites per date period. You just can't apply points to ANY available site.

That's been the story in the past but it could use some updating or validating.

It's also a poor value. Even if you COULD, financially it would be a loss. You're better off renting out your points, then taking that cash and paying for the site with good ol' USDs.

We bought enough points to stay at the Fort all winter. The salesman "Guide" figured out the number. We were able to stay that year but after that if we got a week or two we felt lucky. Now we rent out the points and use those proceeds to pay for our stay.

Thanks.... I will se the RV & stay off site for free... I dont think I will be buying points for a few yrs... as we both still work. too bad they dont offer workcamper sites
