Our DIS group on Sept. 24th Western is considering dining together in the dining rooms for dinner. We realize we would not all be at one table, but at least close to each other. We also realize we would need to request the same dining room rotations. Has any of your DIS groups attempted this before? If so, how did you officially link reservations for dining? :)

A large group of us are doing this for our August 2006 cruise. All we needed to do was to link our ressie numbers together by calling DCL. Good Luck!!!

On the 10 day Christmas Cruise we had 7 or 8 tables linked for both early and late seating (and one young man who ate at both). It was wonderful getting to catch up each day with our fellow DIS'ers. We had one person from each seating coordinating the linking of reservations and it worked out very well.

So how EXACTLY did you get the reservations linked? That is where we are confused. Did you give out your reservation number to one person, who then calls Disney and gets them linked? We are a bit leary of giving out the reservation numbers. Please advise. Thanks. :goodvibes

Yes, one person from our group gathered all our ressie numbers, she made the call to DCL and linked us all together.

How did you get the ressie numbers to one person? We are worried if we post them on this site, that it could get us into trouble. Did you send them by mail to one person? Do you really even get the chance to talk to one another at dinner? Is it worth all the effort? Thanks! :flower:

We either sent our ressie number by e-mail or by a PM to one person who linked us all together, it was no problem at all.

Is it worth the effort? My answer would be, YES!!! We have made lifelong friendships by sharing our dinner table with other DIS'ers.

go for it!! how fun! we have 20 reservations linked together for the thanksgiving cruise this year! we have one contact; but some have called DCL directly and added themselves to the already existing reservation-link. I just informed my TA and she called and added us to the link.

I linked the dining for 70 DISers on the May Repo cruise. I'm still having nightmares about the stress from organizing it! ;)

What I did was to just have everyone PM me their reservation numbers, cabin numbers, and names as they appeared on the reservation. Depending on who I talked to at DCL, they wanted the extra info. Other CMs didn't care.

You can then just call DCL at 1-800-951-3532 and ask to link their reservation numbers with yours.

I don't know the size of your party but if it is bigger than 10, I would check with DCL as they are limited to the table sizes on each rotation. We ended up only being able to get tables for 8, 7, 6, and 4 so there was a lot of work involved with seating families and friends together. If you need two or more tables, call the dining coordinator Debbie Wargo at 407-566-7411. She does the seating charts and can place you at adjacent tables. She can also do a better job at putting you at your requested rotation.

Be glad you are doing this as the wonderful people we met on here and dined with made the trip so much more special.

Please feel free to ask any more questions as I feel I learned more about this process than I ever wanted to!
