Can Changing Resort Reservation Affect Fast Passes?

My 60 day mark is 4 AM PST tomorrow. Was going to set the alarm to book FPs. I originally wanted to stay at POP, but there was no availability for our dates. I even called and they couldn't do anything. Well now it's coming up as available and for a great price too. I wanna grab it, but I'm worried modifying or switching my reservation may affect booking the FP tomorrow morning. Like the new reservation may not show yet or something.

Not sure if I should've posted this in the theme parks section instead of resorts, but I figured it was ok since it has to do with changing a resort package. Is it pretty easy to switch to a different resort online? Should I wait until after I book the FP and just hope POP is still available?

Guess you’ve already booked FPs by this point (and probably back asleep), but FYI, modifying a resort reservation won’t impact FPs.

So long as you always have theme park tickets associated with your MDX account, your FPs will be fine no matter how you modify that original resort reservation.

So long as you always have theme park tickets associated with your MDX account, your FPs will be fine no matter how you modify that original resort reservation.

I took a chance and switched to POP last night. Everything was fine and ready to go this morning! Sadly, didn't go back to sleep. Gotta get ready for work soon (ugh the things we do for Disney!). Thank you

FYI I moved dh 4 day ticket to ds, then moved ds 3 day ticket to dh. When I was done I looked and didn't lose any fp' s. Phew!

Then I called WDW, they gave me a refund for ds 4 day ticket. I then went online and purchased a AP. Still our FP's were still there.

Not sure how but glad it worked out.
