Can AP be activated at hotel on check in?

I know this has been asked and answered to death most likely, but Im doing this from work & don't want to get "caught" DIS'***. Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge, the AP's have to be activated in one of the parks.

We stop at DD to get our passes before we check in, but we drive to disney. If you are flying you could order your vouchers from Disney to use for check in, I'm sure you won't have a problem using the voucher. You could call the hotel direct and ask the Mgr. (remember the name) if you have a problem, tell them you called and who you spoke to.

Our APs were not checked on 3 different reservations, but, we always had them.

Resorts can neither sell nor activate AP's.
