"Disney-speak" is fun sometimes.... and just confusing at other times.

I love- "cast members"

I think- "have a magical day" is very cute

I wish I understood "DVC" and "points".... is it a time-share? How much does it cost in dollars?

Can any of you think of additional Disney-speak that you like, think is cute, or find frustrating?

Go up to a non-dis person and ask them "Should do a CS instead of a TS because I don't have an ADR during EMH at EP or should go back to MK (via TTC of course) at LTT because MK is not MNSSHP night?"

I like On-Stage = anywhere in public view.

Welcome Home = DVC resots to it's members.

As far as the Points you buy points Now about $100 perpoint sp 150points =$15,000
It changes with discounts and different incentives.

Every year you pay Main. fees on those point $3 to $5 depending on what resort. So thats $450 - $750 peryear.

Now your Useyear is when those point become avail. So June UY you get those 150 to use.You can borrow from one year or bank into the next .

Then depending when you go different nights cost different points so you spend your points as you want and what is avail.

HeeHee!!! SO funny ... the sad part is I understood EVERYTHING you said!!! :thumbsup2

Disney Sign: "Fastpass distributions has been completed for the day.

I would prefer: "Sold Out" (5oLd 0u+ with one side of the plus missing, when shown on the overhead sign)

Disney Sign: "The monorail is being refurbished for your future enjoyment. Ferry boats are available to transport you to the Magic Kingdom. (Cast member in front of sign was continuually bombarded with questions.)

I would prefer: "This monorail is out of service. Please use ferry. (arrow pointing in direction of ferry dock)"

This pretty-much extends to everything, everywhere: "Pre-owned" cars ...

My favorite Disney-ism is when you're at the shops in MGM Studios and the cashier will say:

"May I please have your autograph?"

when you're charging to your room or your credit card!!! When DS first heard this, he asked "Mommy, are you famous?" Hahahaha!!!!

and, of course, airline "Pre-boarding". Early boarding, Special boarding or Those Boarding First work for me, but since "pre" means 'before', how does one board before one boards? (Of course, it's also simply not possible to give "110%", but I don't want to put motivational workers out of a job).

Back on track: Pooh-sized is a delightful term, and for some reason (probably Disney Brainwashing (tm)) I now use the term 'Admission Media' instead of 'tickets', as in "Hey, hon, can you get out our Admission Media."

I've always loved that one too! I'm leaving a week from tomorrow- I'm pre-boarding right now!

I can!! I can!!!

Should do a counter service instead of a table service because I don't have an advanced dining reservation during extra magic hours at Epcot or should I go back to Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center of course) at Liberty Tree Tavern because Magic Kingdom is not Mickey's Not So Scary halloween Party night?

I really spend too much time on here!! :rotfl2:

wow!
I was so confused at one point i thought there was a subway stop in Toronto that ended up in Disney LOL!

TTC -is the short form for Toronto Transit Commission!

:lmao: I hate to fly, and we are a short drive from Toronto, so I would hop that subway in a second!

That sentence is too funny. I read it to my husband, who of course didn't know a word of it!! When I translated to him what all the abbreviations meant, he said it is now official, I spend too much time on the Dis Boards!! :rotfl:

It's like those "driving too close" bumper stickers. "If you can understand this, you're spending too much on the DIS!"
