We have a couple of spanish-speaking families in my dd's school. I am the PTA membership chairperson and I need to send a flyer out schoolwide that is both in english and spanish. Needless to say, I don't know any spanish... It's only about 4 sentences long. If anyone can help me out, please PM me and I'll give you the info. Thanks!!!!

Here is the website I use to translate things for my students.

You simply type in whatever text you want translated, and choose a language, like English to Spanish from the drop down menu. It translates into a lot of different languages. I think it is one of the greatest find I've made online!

oooh, make sure if you use an online translator, like paralink.com or one of the others, that you translate it back into English to make sure it translated correctly. You would be amazed some of the things that can get messed up. We typed in "our guests will be sleeping downstairs" and it came back "our guests will be sleeping upside down on the stairs". That was English to Russian but I'm sure it can happen with any language!

They don't always work very well.

I speak Spanish, but my grammar is terrible and I'm the first to admit it.

C.Ann might be able to help, she speaks fluent Spanish if I'm not mistaken.

Do you have a person on the school staff that speaks Spanish? That would be the first resource I would look for.

Yes, there is an ESL teacher there, and I have to go up to the school tomorrow, so I think I may just give it to her to translate - thanks.
