Can anyone think of a good job for my mom?

I second the idea of looking into banking/teller. My husband is a VP of a large bank chain (not in your area) and they are ALWAYS looking for reliable people. It doesn't always pay a lot at the teller level, but it's a pretty laid back, non-strenuous job. I know because that's how I worked my way through college. ;)

Do you have to work full-time? I would love to find something maybe 2 or 3 days a week. But definitely don't want full-time!

Sorry to highjack OP

What about the Allentown Farmer's Market? They're only open Thurs-Sat and there are quite a few older workers there (that love to dote on DS6 :goodvibes ). I don't know if Dan Schantz on Lehigh St needs help, but if she likes gardening, that might be someplace to check out (I was just at Herbein's today and I didn't see any signs for help wanted there). Hmm, I'll keep an eye out when I'm out running errands.

Good ideas, thanks!

Nope; my mom's bank has teller positions that go from 10-4 three days a week (to relieve them for lunch), and other banks advertise openings for 9-3, or 10-2, just depends on the bank.

have her check with the local school district for bus monitors, cafe. monitors, she might want to look into school bus driving its a good part time job
