Can anyone tell me if this is a good price on AirTran flights?

I'm looking at flight prices for the first two weeks of May and the cheapest I could find for two people round trip including taxes was $330 from Buffalo. We would have to pay $50 for checked bags as well. I've never flown from Buffalo before so I'm wondering if this is a good deal or if I should just hold off for now and keep looking in the next couple of months. Any input would be appreciated!

We paid $310 each flying round trip out of Buffalo with Airtran last August with direct flights.

Originally when I checked the price last feb., the price was $283. At the time, I wasn't sure if that was a good price, so I didn't book. Then the price gradually went up to $500. About a month later the price went back down to $310 and that is when we booked it.

It was really challenging finding cheap flights out of Buffalo last year. Some of my friends said they were paying about $225 the year before.

Honestly, I don't think $330 is too bad. I think AirTran will give you a credit if you find that your price drops. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I found that the prices just continued to rise has the months went by, so we are glad that we did book it for our price.

What are your dates? Did you check Southwest? They don't charge for bags!

Is the 330 for the two of you (total) or each round trip. I paid about 300 each round trip last August out of Buffalo. You might also want to check Air Tran out of Rochester, NY. I have seen flights for 90 each direction per person for the early part of May.

The $330 is for both of us round trip. So the total for two adults roundtrip is the $330. I did check Jetblue and Southwest but they were both more expensive than AirTran. I will check out AirTran from Rochester, thanks!

The AirTran deal is pretty good right now. Anything under $400 round trip non-stop from Buffalo to Orlando is a good deal. Book it Dano......

Make sure you factor in the luggage fee and if you want pre-assigned seats (together) there is a charge for that so factor that in too-both ways as that might bring it up to closer to 400, which is still good but just fyi

I booked AirTran from Buffalo for our upcoming April Trip and it worked out to be $671.40 for 3 people roundtrip, excluding baggage. So I would say this is a good deal.

So that's about 165 a person. Assuming you'll each have a bag to check it would be 430 with the luggage fees there and back (or 215 pp). That's about right. I prefer Southwest or Jetblue and generally pay anywhere from 180-240 a person (no bag fees either way). We've flown out of Buffalo three times in the last 16 months. It's impossible to say if you could go lower. I have to be flexible with flight times to get the best prices and watch like a hawk. I would book it if you are comfortable with that price.

$330 for BOTH of you is fantastic That's only $165 each round trip. The cheapest I have paid round trip is about $200, different carrier, but still. That's a great deal. I hope you have it booked!!!

So we actually waited too long and that price had gone up by $35, but I was able to snag an even better deal. I paid $377 for both of us roundtrip includin bags with Southwest from Buffalo. I'm pretty happy with that price.

I just booked AirTran today for our August trip $199 round trip each, direct flights both ways. I am thrilled!
