Can anyone suggest a pickup point outside the park?

We are getting the BS or RS transport shuttle, and it would be handier to get lifted outside the park, rather than the Santa Fe for going home next Friday. Can anyone suggest a point I can tell them we will be?

The nearest cars could get to the park would be at Disneyland Hotel however Im not sure if you would be allowed to leave your luggage there so would have to carry it from the park left luggage place to the hotel entrance to be collected.

Not sure if taxis/shuttles can drive into the bus part- I know cars cant but that might be an option. The other place would be the Village car park- reasonably close to the entrance to the park

Do you think they would collect us at the taxi rank outside the train station? (beside where the hotel shuttle buses drop off/pick up). Would I need to be more specific? We could leave our luggage in the storage in the train station.

Just got back having used BS Transports.

We took all of our luggage on the last day down to the park (thru guest security....open all you cases please sir) and left it with Guest Storage.

We then had BS Transports collect us from the Taxi area outside the Train Station - however, in hindsight when we were walking out the park yesterday it did occur to us then in future it would probably have been easier to have them collect us from the front of the Disneyland Hotel.

NP Shell. My exact words on my email to them (as I requested it to be changed later after initial confirmation) were...." the Taxi Pickup area located outside of the Train Station at Disneyland."

BS then sent me a new confirmation paperwork which showed the pick up date/time with the words "FROM Disney station" after them.

Shell820810 - I would definitely take advantage of Iain's research here!! This would be a much easier option than lugging the cases back to the station, as Guest Storage is no distance from the back entrance to the Disneyland Hotel, then walk through to the front/car park entrance. Plus, I would have thought it will be much easier for you to find each other there, than somewhere outside the station.

This sounds a great option. Do you think BS Transport would have any problems with security since the gatehouse will not have a note of the guest staying here

Is the gate security for DLH different to that of SL?.

I ask purely as each time we've used BS Transports to SL - the Gate Security have just waved the driver thru - without any questions asked / knowing the reason for the driver wanting to gain access.

I reckon a lot of people use the Disneyland Hotel as a pick-up point. We got a little anxious when BS Transports were late picking us up on our last day. When the hotel receptionist phoned through for us it turned out that the driver was sitting in the car park at the DLH and had been for the last 45 minutes! He had read the form wrong ~ the pick-up point said "Hotel Explorer Disneyland" but he chose to ignore the Explorer part! Obviously he had no difficulty in accessing the DLH car park, or sitting there for that amount of time ~ I should imagine the person on the gate will recognise the drivers and just let them through.

Thanks for the suggestions - think we will stick with the train station as I'm not 100% sure where at the Disneyland hotel you are talking about. Plus if we leave our luggage in the train station, it means less carrying. Hope they reply with confirmation before we go on Monday!
