DW is into marinating. Some reviews mentioned durability and issues like the lid can not be put in the dishwasher...

anyone have a recommendation?

Why not go "cheep" and get the freezer bags (Glad?) that come with the vaccume pump. They work really well. I am going to use them to marinade steak and seafood when grilling season starts next month!!!

Oh ya, I forgot about them. No dishwashing.....

thanks,
Mikeeee

Never heard of them before...........all I could think was "why would you want to marinate a vacuum?"

well, after months and months of picking up dog hair, the vacuum gets a little rank! I might prefer a terriyaki scent to our carpets. Hehehehee

I got some somewhere, I'll have to upload.

They were rescued pups. A bit of lab and terrier mix!

(COUCH POTATOS, except for about 15 minutes twice a day playing!)

and of course walkies!!

We got fred as a plaything for Q. both from adopt a pet. She would sleep all day, and night, and then expect us to play for hours after a long day of work. Heheheheheee
She understood immediately. She would go to the back yard and wrestle with him and then run inside and smile at us then run back outside...

ok back ON topic....we have a FoodSaver, and we use one of the larger containers to marinate steaks and chicken. We put the meat (thawed) in the container, add the marinade, then vaccuum the container to seal it shut. Takes about an hour to do a heavy marinade. The containers are microwave safe and dishwasher safe and clean easily.
