Can anyone recommend a safe reliable way from Heathrow to the Earl's Court Area?

Would prefer a towncar service, similar to what people use in Orlando, but don't know where to start. Definitely need something economical for a party of four. This is our first trip from the USA and we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Expres Earl's Court.

Thanks everyone!

Honest answer is that most people from the London area probably wouldn't know as we (I use we as though I live in Wales now, I'm a Londoner born and bred) either use the Tube (Tube = Subway) or our own car.

The other option is London's famous black cabs. You'll have no problem getting one at Heathrow and there shouldn't be a problem taking four.

If your feeling adventurous use the tube, it has a stop at Earl's Court and it's on the same line as Heathrow so you won't even have to change. :)

The London Underground is your best bet, its safe and the journey from Heathrow (as the station is at the airport for the Piccadilly line) is 45 minutes to Earls Court. A single ticket is around £4 I think but if you're planning on doing more travelling that day on public transport it might be worth getting a one day Zone 1-6 pass (as Heathrow is in Zone 6).

Here's a link to the London Underground map:

Heathrow is on the Piccadilly line (dark blue) and is on the bottom left hand side, Earls Court is on the same line, near the centre.

Here's a link explaining the types of tickets etc:

Have a great time, London is fabulous :thumbsup2

Thank you all very much! I was already getting an underground card, so you just saved me quite a bundle. One question, though. I will be at the Holiday Inn Earl's Court. The website mentions the West Kensington and West Brompton tube exits as being the closest. Should I transfer to reach one of those exits or just get off at Earl's Court and take a taxi? Which do you think would be easier? We are newbies at this- not familiar with England, London, or underground systems.

Thank you!

Have any advice on which tube exit to use? Thanks everyone!

West Kensington looks about the same distance away as West Brompton. If you get to Earls Court you would have to change to a District Line Train heading for Wimbledon to get to West Brompton. Think you would have to change at Baron's Court to go to West Kensington. You can walk between Earls Court and West Brompton as there is only the Exhibition Centre between them.

If you look at this map the hotel is in the center and you can see all 3 tube stations at the edge

You would have to flag down a Taxi at Earls Court but that may simplest unless you are willing walk - make sure you have a map as very easy to get lost round there!
