Can anyone help with a Facebook question?

I'm not getting Status Updates from all my Freinds. It's usually ones that they post from their phones. The only way I know is that I will go to their page since I haven't seen them post for a while, and there are their status updates. But those don't show up on my page. I used to get their status updates on my page, but not always now.

Any FB experts that can shed some light on this?

I received a notice yesterday or the day before saying Facebook wasn't going to post status updates anymore. However, I have not seen any difference - yet.

Have you hit the "Live Feed" button that's right on top of the box you type your status in? When I log in it's usually automatically set at news feed and I just switch it over to the live feed and then they all come up nice and neat. For some reason the "News Feed" cherry picks what it tells you

I always go to my home page, and then I click on "News Feed" on the left hand side of the page. From there you can go to "Live Feed." I've seen that sometimes I won't even get e-mails if a friend posts something to my wall if they've done it from their phone unless I go directly to my profile (which I don't always do) or unless I check the live feed. You'll get too much info from live feed, such as who has become friends with whom, but it's better than not getting enough info.

You can also move news feed to the top of your list on your home page. Mine says Status Updates, but you can click and drag News Feed if that's what you want to show.

Yup. Go to your home page and then on the left side of the page there is a list. Click on "more" at the bottom and that will enable you to drag "status updates" to the top of the list and you will get updated when they change (or at least you used to).

It was one of the pop-up notices in the bottom right-hand corner. I just went to my "See All" and it only showed through yesterday.

Not exactly sure what it was, but I do know it said it will no longer be sending status updates. I have also heard a rumor of them changing Facebook, again. Not sure if it has something to do with that? I really hope they don't change it, again.

I'm set up that way, but I don't get any iPhone updates, which stinks since about half of my friends primarily post that way. I can only see their updates from the News Feed or Live Feed. You also don't get most pictures if you keep Status Updates as your default.

I wind up having to click between various views to be able to see everything, which is super annoying. What a great "upgrade"!

ah...it was an "upgrade". Lucky us. My younger "friends" all post from their phones. Like my nephew said, it's a shame that his phone is better & easier to use than his old computer!
I've checked into the box on the top left of my page. Hopefully, I'll get better updates.

I often post my status update from my cellphone (not an iphone or a blackberry) and lately it seems that my status update posts to my wall only about 60% of the time. Sometimes they will post much later (like a day or two) other times they never appear. Maybe they are getting lost somewhere out in the outer reaches of cyberspace somewhere. I think that it is a problem with Verizon more than facebook, but who knows.

I've noticed lately that if you post your status update from your home page, it goes to everyone. If you post from your profile page it is as "share" and is only visible on your profile.
