Can Anyone Help - Transport from Newcastle Airport to Carlisle?

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering whether anyone can offer any tips as to how to get from Newcastle Airport to Carlisle (I have a hearing for work at the Crown Court there!).

I can't find my drivers licence, and don't think the replacement will arrive in time, so can't hire a car.

Looks like Northern railway does a direct link. Plus you can get the metro from the airport to the main Newcastle line.

Newcastle to Carlisle timetable. It looks like the average journey time is about 1hr 25 mins.
